Colors of Barcelona.
colors are nothing for me. i don’t care about. i don’t pay attention to them. they distort my perception of the surrounding me objects. ok, i’m a little bit exaggerating. but when i talk about the life in familiar to me, and my preferred photography language, i prefer to isolate and express the objects and things with the tones of grey only.
there are exclusions. during my visit i was so happy to know that my visit in Barcelona falls on National Day of Catalonia and this year it was exactly 300 year of Siege of Barcelona. i read about “largest ever European demonstration“, but was involved to take part in a few events orginazed by the managment of the company where I work and traveled with them. and even i was this time in the central part of the city i missed the main part of the party. but even the small part that i saw was colorful, happy and festive so the colors are definitely must when we are talking about Catalonia’s flags.
less words more pictures. in this series you will find a big amount of the colorful flags, highlighted by September sun streets and people (partially tourists)
all images taken with Sigma 35mm and Canon 135mm lenses

I love the colors of Gold and Red and Blue !!! Spain is lovely ! My sister-in -law ‘ s Motther and Father were still visiting there during this Celebration ! They returned home shortly afterwards . You could have captured their photo and you may have it right now !! HA! Wouldn’t that be strange??? They stayed for about 3 months. How nice ! Her Mother could be the red head with high heels at the near top who looks too old to be wearing high heels !!! Her father could be the man with the luggage against the golden wall!!! Your pictures tell good stories!!!
Wonderful and colorful set of images! The one is with cars, the green car in front, is so cool! Was the Canon 135L the lens used on that shot?
thank you Sam ! i think so. i was with 35mm and 135mm with me this trip 🙂
It definitely has the 135L signature bokeh which is why I asked. You can’t go wrong with that lens, it’s fantastic!
Sometimes i do portrait with 135mm but mostly i using it for outside urban photography when the light is law or for converts when i want to be closer to an artist. This f2 aperture just fantastic
I agree! While it is known as a portrait lens, I find it fantastic for almost anything else where I can put it to use. Your car shot (if shot with this lens) is a great example of this!
Just checked myself now – you’re right 135mm taken with f2
Thanks Victor for checking, it’s got that unique look and bokeh that makes it a legend for lenses. It’s a killer!
I managed to squeeze in a day in Girona, too, and the flags are one of the things that stay in my memory. 🙂
I hope to return back again
It’s a great city. So much energy and beauty combined! Have a great weekend 🙂 🙂
Great weekend to you too !
