from my Ethiopia trip – two days in Gonder ii

 
Well, i wasn’t in mood to write and to post the continuation of my photostory about our walk from AG hotel to the central Gonder market (merkato), but here we go – another post with some memories about these days.

This day (and the night before) was especially memorable to me and for my friends from our small filming team. Three of us got the same food poisoning during the night, most likely from Tej consumption. By this trip tradition, every evening after the long shooting day, we hung out for some drinks and fun. This night it was unsuccessful for us – at 4AM my only intrusive thought was – how my friends will bring my dead body to TelAviv and how I pity them about this fact that i did this stupid think i was poisoned during this important trip to such wonderful country. At morning when i’m alive and a little bit more healthy came out in the lobby of the hotel, i learned that two of my friends felt the same in their rooms just with a small differences everyone.

Due to the weakness, we postponed the shootings for half day and decided to visit the Central open Air Gonder market. i shooted all the way from the hotel where we stopped to the market. the way was extremely busy with going in different direction people and all kinds of exotic transports. not too managed on the road to be directed exact as it should be – left side and right side, red traffic light – red traffic light, so one should be extremely cautious when you are busy with your camera. Plus i still felt a dizziness after the sleepless night, but after big amount of the strong black tea my strength returned to me and i felt like panter on the messed road.
