snow in Jerusalem 2015-ii
with this black and white story i’ll continue my previous “post about the way to Jerusalem” covered by snow. i found Jerusalem almost completely white but also absolutely wet. i started to feel this cold water after the few steps when i parked my car and got out to the snowy sidewalk. this white at first sight color was THE sneaky deception. the lower layer was just water. the water was everywhere and barely flowed because of the law temperature. “a la guerre comme à la guerre” – i switched off the thoughts about and started the walk.
jerusalem was quite uninhabited and it felt unusual for this time of friday. rare passers-by looked like zombies. a few chinese tourists walked with colorful nylon bags over their shoes. the stories were closed and forgotten by an owners until Sunday. in spite of wet feet and cold air strangers proved talkative and smiling as usual and i took this picture of the “snowman” after my ask to make this moment of throwing snow again for my camera. the biggest surprise for me was street trance party that i found in the middle of the open part of Mahane Yehuda Market. what a people, what a vibes.
enjoy the wet walk :

Thank you…
Super! I like #21.
thank you Eduardo !!
Another wonderful series.
Thank you Barbra also for retwitting.
My exposure to Jerusalem is usually through the news, if at all. I love that I see this whole other world through your photos. It would’ve never occurred to me it could snow there. The streets and the people are always something unexpected. I love your posts. Truly
I’m so happy to show the reality of my country cos the news are always take some side and create not right picture. Thank you for taking a look !
Awesome shots Victor! I especially love number four, eleven, and thirteen…truly the light and shadow warrior!
Thank you very much 😉
Victor, your pictures are amazing! I can see through your eyes the beauty and the special character of Jerusalem. For me, the B/W only intensify the feelings. Thanks.
Morning Dovi ! Happy to see your comment here ! agree with you about bw photography. It talks much better and understandable when the distirbing colors are out of frame 😉 thank you very much !!
Piękne i niesamowite.Pamiątka na długie lata.Nie wiadomo kiedy znowu tak dużo śniegu spadnie.
Indeed Roman !
great pics,
Bezrukov. Snow in Ierushlaim?
Yes Silva ! Sometimes also in Jerusalem !
Yea..all good things come to an end…Snow ALWays ends up a muddy mess, in cities anyway. Love the last ones best. Great series too.
Thank you Paula !
Hey Victor – your photos are so COOL!!! That is a great word for them ! Really, the photos are so full of textures, and happy and cautious faces. I love the little dog and the partying people outside ! It snowed here too but I cannot drive in snow here. So , I was stuck to my countryside neighborhood. I did take some great shots of a group of about 16 red cardinals in my wooded backyard in the white snow . They were all couples . I hope they turn out well . Be well ! Eat snow cream !
Thank you Irena. I hope you’re doing well
I’ve missed this .. Explaining a lots of their situations.. especially LOVED that covered with nylon bags! very well documented.
Haha these nylon bags were amazing. This year i saw a few ppl using these bags as well 😉
