Geneva in Black and White – my after-trip notes (part iii)
Bonjour my friends !
I’m glad to continue my series of Life Photography images from Geneva I made during my 4 days staying there. Actually, when I think about what to do with all the photographs I photographed during this visit (this also applies to all other trips and hanging out in other countries and cities include my country), I really get lost. To print some of them, to make a book and nice postcards. I don’t know. Maybe you can help me with ideas and your experience in solving the same problems – what do you do with all the photographs you take during your travels, walks, storytelling projects. And yes – I really understand that there are great photos, nice photos, and just photos, and not everything should be archived in our history boxes, and not everything should be printed, posted and even showed to the public. But still, my question is remains the same – WHAT TO DO with this mount of memories and moments.
The first think my friend Jeremy Spierer said me is to make a book. And this is what i’m going to do this time. I have two online Blurb books and people who got or purchased them are love the quality of the printing service and this idea to have some images stapled together. So, IT’S A DATE (i mean THE IDEA).
After two previous posts i changed the title from “with minimum gear” to “in Black and White” and I’m not sure if i will stay with the same title until the finish – i have to develop two 135 film rolls exposed during these days – one BW and one color Provia film, so the title will be replaced with something more film oriented 🙂
I love to show Geneva in Black and White tones. Cos Black and White suit this city very well. Geneva just was born for this. The only thing I would like to remain colorful is the Blue sky crossed out by the numerous threads created by flying aircraft, exactly like I loved to see in Barcelona some time ago.
Here is my BW Geneva :
The other side of Geneva….marvellous as always…I love the woman feeding the young swans photo…so evocative.
thank you Paula for always kind words !! i loved to see the other side of Geneva and actually its inpossible to recognize the city by the common urban images i captured. so its why i call this pseudo-travel ;-)) just life around us looks very (or almost) similar and suitable for many places 😉
Your photos are always pleased with me. They are beautiful, dear Victor. They are simple and rich together. I wish you many great days.. Take a photo of Bratislava, my town !!!! Daniela
i wish to go to Bratislava one day ! thank you Daniela for the kind words !
