Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, Petah Tikva triangle – from the busy streets.

Some time ago i opened to myself another life photography “heaven” – the old center of the Petah Tikva city. It never was in my mind to go to this place with my camera, but finally, the photography is not about some specific place, but about the life around us and the social culture is what is interesting me first of all in this case.

Right now I selected around 100 images for this series, and in some level I will include also the old Jaffo, where I am a very frequent visitor and walking there the same route, but don’t worry about this. The subjects of my interests are replacing each other very fast. It’s like a theatre with the performances never repeating and never stopping even at night.

I love to represent this series in Black and White as usual. Most of my friends and followers know my photography language. I just listened last night for the recent episode of the photography podcast, and one of the participants in this episode said that shooting BW street is a cliche, making more followers and bla, bla, bla. Most of other participants suddenly supported him, even most of them are using black and white for their film photography. I was in some kind of shock that Vivian Maier, Daido Moriyama and John Free are photographed and two of them are still doing that.

About the vlogs I’m watching. Regularly I clean the list of my favorite artists doing this. The main reason is the changes in their activity from the Indie artists to ones who are interesting in increasing the number of their followers and getting the goodies from their sponsors – photography gear companies. I have nothing against these goodies, but. These sudden changes in information supply from the random to specific and dominant are discouraging and I always lost my interest to watch and to listen for the massive ADS. The biggest curiosity is that the photography experience of the most of these influencers is very low, but the ability to lead even more experienced followers is somehow high and looks like this combination is working fine for both.

  1. Wow! Beautiful work! I can’t pick one they all so great! The atmosphere with people brings us the life! Incredible shots.

  2. Great work, as always, such wonderful moments of action but the one that touched my heart was the old man sitting alone on the seat amongst the remnants of last evening’s merriment…so moving.
