longography in Prague – Horizon202 and ilford FP4 (part ii)
i continue with a posts about my short trip to Prague. first of all i published this not conventional for me Prague in colors collection and by the comments and visits i can say that this post got some unusual popularity and love (may be i need to change my seeing for more colors and vibrations?) and the second one – taken with Horizon 202 and ilford FP4 film. and interesting to note that this second post remained almost unnoticed although i love these long Black and White results much more.
today i continue the “failed” series with another 10 images. it was my renewed attention to use ilford FP4 film and i have to say that i love what i got. it flat and very convenient for a scanning process – during scan i put film directly on the glass and press it with a thin and clean glass – to do the same thing with any Agfa film is absolutely disaster – Agfa is perfect as film but kind of punishment during scanning process – it curly like hell. i used semi-stand process for both rolls – Rodinal (the new stock R09 One Shot) developer and new for me ilford Rapid Fixer plus again new – Tetenal Mirasol 2000 Antistatic as wetting agent – about the last i have to say that it’s lovely and working much better than the previous FOTONAL agent – looks like i’m going to say “bye-bye” to all Foma products.
enjoy the longography from Prague…
to be continued…
Very cool. I must try this
Thank you Rajiv !
You sound like you are having fun…….
One question: how come you don’t get Newton’s Rings with all the glass surfaces ??? (AN glass?)
I do sympathise about the curling – hate scanning 120 film for that exact reason.
David.
Thank you very much David. I worried to fall to shooting usual touristic clichés. About Newton rings – i dont have them in my scans maybe the original glass of my scanner (Epson v500) os good enought ?
