Munich with Fuji GA645 Bergger Pancro400 pushed to 800 (part i)
Hey friends ! i hope some of you remember that i bought in “Barcelona Casanova photo store” a few Bergger Pancro400 120 and 35mm film (pelicula) rolls. My first developed roll was a big disappointment. Not because of the film but – you can read the story about how the authorities dragged it through a X-Ray machine even i asked for a manual check – “Successfully damaged with X-Ray my first Bergger Pancro400 120 film”. Many of you said that i have to check my Hasselblad back b-cos the “damage” looks like created by some light leak and not by the nasty X-Ray. so i conducted some sort of investigation and already exposed 4 rolls of each format – 120 and 35mm. with Hasselblad 500cm (another film back), Fujifilm GA645 and Ricoh GR1s. right now i already managed to scan both 120 rolls, and you know what – no traces of a X-Ray machine intervention. everything looks very clean and moderately contrasting, and a grain for the pushed ISO400 film is very nice
A few (or few dozens) words about this roll. i exposed it in September 2017 when i with my brother visited our friends in Munich and one of the rainy days (like all other days of our visit) we spent our time with “Ijon Tichy”, who took us to some interesting places, Vinyl Record and Film Photography stores (Foto-Video Sauter store) and a beer places. this roll was exposed with Fuji GA645 when i pushed it to ISO800 instead of the box speed 400 and developed at home with the great originally made by Bergger “ber49” developer that i got as gift from my friend Ijon.
and a few, even less then a few words about technical side – film developing.
as i said i used Bergger ber49 developer. it was my first experience with this chemical. 1+1 dilution – 21:30 min – 24 deg C.
and if you interesting to see the point of view of the Ijon’s Hasselblad from this walk – check this link to his post about, exposed on pushed to “ISO 1600 Kodak TriX”.
