Night TelAviv – dusty storm and contrasts of urbanism.
and again – like it was something like two month ago – massive waves of the dust wrapped all around us – in the middle of the day visibility was no more than 500 metres, possible less. i can’t say if i love this weather condition or hate it. seems like both. i just hope that tomorrow all this dust will be cleaned by heavy rain and we will forget about this “minor inconvenience” until the next.
i finished my workday and decided to make the round of walk with my camera and 135mm lens that i love to carry with me at winter. no sooner said than done.
this dust is not a bigger problem these days. due this spontaneous “stabbing” during last month, people incredulously and cautiously turn on each other, walking fast and pass to the other side when it is possible. i hope that distrust will go away together with the dust, but i guess that i’m too optimistic.
anyway – enjoy the dusty urbanism :
Thank you…
Always love your black and whites! Wonderful set of compositions.
thank you very much for taking a look and kind words !
Beautiful set!
Thank you for taking a look !!
Excellent shots capturing the feel and mood of the night and current weather situation! I admire you going out there and getting these fine shots!!
Hey Sam ! Thank you for taking a look. It was one hour walk in the center of Telaviv. As said i used prime 135mm f2 lens for all these moments. I love this lens for the night photography
Some true ‘gems’ amongst all these beautiful photos. Elegant , Excellent and Informative as always.
Thank you Paula !!
Beautiful collection of images, Victor, and I enjoyed reading your thoughts.
Thank you Pam. Writing is always the hardest part of my posts but i dont give up 😉
Beautiful images ! Can you share some information about the gear used and maybe some exposure/aperture info?
Hi Alex !! Thank you for the kind words ! I used my always with me 5dmkii camera and Canon 135mm f2 lens for all the images in this post. For all moments i used ISO3200 and in most cases shutter priority with 1/100 1/250 speed. So aperture was automatically from 2 to 5.6 depend on amount of light. In some cases i used exposure conpensation +/- 1-2 stops for better contrasts. Edited in Lightroom. Hope this can help !
Some really fantastic shots. Fourth from the bottom – Fantastic
Thank you again. I hate (and not only me) this weather but i love this ability to find the beauty aven in something ugly.
Often the most beautiful things are those you thought were ugly at first glance. Then you looked deeper and the inner light that is within you, brought out the beauty of the thing you were looking at. That is great photography.
