People of Jerusalem photographed with Fujifilm GA645 on ilford Delta 400 (exp2006)
I was so surprised when i developed this way the ilford Delta for the first time. The roll was fresh bought and my desire to do something different and to get to know this emulsion better prevailed all other ideas. Exactly after this successful developing of this exposed @200 and developed EI800 roll, i bought a pack of the same Delta expired in 2006 and stored not too well, but a price was nice, and i decided to try my luck and to know much more about the condition after completion of work on the first roll.
I am glad to say that lately I returned back to my usual shooting on film activity and developed all the black and white film rolls I have collected in my fridge. Two Delta 400, Rollei RPX and Fomapan 400 exposed with Holga, ilford PAN 50 and ilford HP5 plus Fomapan 200 35mm.
Well, now about the day of shooting this one. I had to spend this day around two hours in Jerusalem, so, I decided to go to my favorite place – The Mahane Yehuda market in the center of the city where I photographed already some two hundred times include this cold day when I used the same camera but different Ilford FP4 film and my post with the images from this day amazingly browsed 2320 visitors. Another amazing thing that happened me this time – i took all my frames in a portrait orientation that is default frame orientation of this camera, but not always i stay dedicated to the only one style of composing.
Interesting, seemingly different from your other photos…in style more close-ups/intimate. Love them too.
thank you Paula. i wanted to be more close and actually was packed without any.option for a privet space so was almost impossible to be more far 😉
These are awesome close shot of people on the street! I always liked your style especially capturing the shadows but this series are fascinating to me. People like me who like to shot the street with people in .. Its great learning step to me.
Thank you!
rhank you Annabelle ! its a big pleasure for me to hear from these words. sometimes I feel that I’m too much in these shadowplay game ;-))
Hi Victor, glad to see the fruits of your film development again! Awesome lively shots as always, love the use of lines on that first shot! I’ve been procrastinating to develop my rolls, but you make me want to do it 🙂
yesyes just do it. so sad we are living too far from each other. one week ago i developed a roll of ilford Pan 50 from 2006 for my friend in semistand dev. I would like to develop for you too but as i said too far.
thank you for the kind words Sam 😉
last weekend i developed another Fomapan roll (#9) exposed with Holga. already scanned and ready for the next blogpost 😉
Ah Victor so nice of you! Yes too bad we are so fat but who knows someday! Looking forward to your next post!
Hello Victor,
I have also done a lot of photography in Mahane Yehuda and missed my annual trip to Israel last year because of Covid. I mostly use Fomapan 400 these days, developed in D76 or T-Max Developer.

Hey Paul. Good to know. Hope you will go to your trip next time. Even there are less restrictions and regulations now but people are still in hysteria because of how the media is mirroring the happening now.
wow Paul. Here is very impressive body of work. I just watched a few galleries and will check for the whole site later. Good work my friend. Very storytelling.
