photowalk – in search of graffiti in Jaffa-TelAviv
last week i got some kind of assignment to bring some taken in Tel Aviv photographs of graffiti. i never shooted other Art, especially street Art – not specially as subject and not by mistake. it’s something about me – to take pictures of street Art is same like to go to museum and to photograph a Mona Lisa painting. (again – only my opinion and my feeling against this action). so i had nothing to show from my huge collection of taken in Jaffa and Tel Aviv during my few years “career” of “on the go” photographer. i decided to fix this situation and to take photos of graffiti in some known to me places in Southern Tel Aviv and Jaffa. this part of the city known for the huge collections of paintings on the old (and new) walls. so at evening before the planned walk i had a plan.
the night 13-14.11.2015 was sad and almost sleepless because of the “terrible terror attacks in Paris”. at morning my mood was ruined irreversibly but afternoon I forced myself to go out and to finish conceived before. i found a lot of Graffiti and Street Art to photograph but also some different subjects dictated by my mood – a little bit depressive and contrasty.
anyway – enjoy the mood:
and as compensation for the mood – two images of Street Art found by me this day. i promise to post all the colorful photographs in one of the upcoming posts.
Thank you…
Excellent shots, as always Victor! The last one is well seen and quite compelling in light of the recent tragic events in Paris. Nice work!
Thank you for the beautiful words Sam !
No problem Victor, thanks for the beautiful pics! 🙂
Nice mood in your photographs as always Victor. Coincidence or not I’m preparing a similar project 😀
