rock’n’roll and skateboarding – reportage from a secret ramp (18 images)
Some time ago I was invited to this hardcore celebration of skateboarding and Rock’n’roll cooperation. The psychedelic/stoner/rock’n’roll jam performed by Heavy Stone TelAviv’s band was electrifying and colorfully vibrant exactly as it should be in order to bring several hours of energy to the group of skateboarders.
A few words about the gear and technique I used for this set. I love taking pictures in extremely low-light condition situations and felt myself in the right place and time. the difficult part was the movement of skateboarders and the big space of the ramp. as usual, I don’t use the lens and this night wasn’t an exclusion – Sigma 35mm and Canon 24-70mm (the last one was unconditionally stuck on 24 focal lengths). for all images, I used TV priority mode with ISO 3200 and shutter speed between 45 and 125 plus +1-1.5 AV compensation.
enjoy the energy..
Full of live and with this kind of music you need no drugs to beam up 🙂

Victor, these are great and as some one famous once said & I paraphrase – ” if you can’t get the photograph, you are not close enough ! ” looking at the Exif data you must have been very close…….. Double plus good 🙂
David.
Hey David. Thank you for this careful check. Yes i save all Exif data and who know – know how to know a little bit more about photographers work. I always remember this phrase even i dont like to go with rules but still love to know them. As i wrote i used 24 and 35 Focal lens and in some moments was too close and got a few punches with a lost skates with my legs. Not nice but was worth it.
Looks like a cool event. Cool photos.
